Last week there were two “strangers" approaching me via emails. One of them is a director, saying “I didn’t read your review until now; you said exactly what I meant. Thank you." sort of things. I knew her back in college so we could say hello to each other whenever we met, but we were not that close in these years.
I knew she was going to do something cuz the other friend was in it, and mentioned it to me in another occasion. Until that very week, fortunatelly we seemed to know many common friends in Taipei, the other friend got an extra ticket then invited me to join the night. So I went, and wrote something on my blog for it. Surprisingly, there were, not a major heated one, but a discussion about my review. There were indeed people going to theatre and reading my blog at the same time!
Now the director herself showing up in my email box expressing her gratitudes. And both of us were surprised we could connect in this way, as ideal readers to each others’ works of creativity.
The other friend is from high school. That’s a very very long story. She said hello in the email first, and asked me if I am still in Taipei, if so, she wanted to see me. After my reply she said, oh, so the blog I encoutered the other day was really yours. (And this) I like your writing better than before.
Oh, yes. She’s absolutely right. 🙂
