Last week I finally found out how to use the legendary CD++. I didn’t, and still don’t like the idea of hacking someone’s computer to search for files you want, and especially my own writing once had been stolen and circulated around the corner. I was extremely careful about this matter eversince. But, some day last week, I couldn’t even buy the OST of Lisbon Story on line. Itunes sometimes dissapoint me a lot. Then one of my flatmates said, “try DC++." The installation really took us two days to finish, but after that, it was like finding a new continent!

I couldn’t stare at my 12″ screen for two hours for a movie, but they have American sitcomes. Isn’t that wonderful? So I could catch up on my Sex and the City finale, in which she went to Paris with a Russian (…) then rescued by Mr. Big.

As a theatre student, I should elaborate the reason why we all love this stupid American TV shows in the perspectives of mimesis or drama is a slice of real life. But I won’t. Everyone has their reason to watch Bradshow and her girlfriend’s life, for me, the last series in some extent is too realistic to me and my girlfriens to analyze, well, except the prince-Mr. Big-rescue-me part. I would just say one thing as a theatre person: Aleksandr Petrovsky, the well-known installation artist Carrie met in the gallery, is Mikhail Baryshnikov, the really world well known Ballet star. His White Oak Troupe is based in New York, though I missed him twice in Taipei. Now I know why he could be a star. Isn’t he charismatic?

The other international superstar is the artist trying to starve herself in the gallery where Carrie and Charlotte met the Russian. She is Marina Abramovic A indeed very serious artist dedicating her own body to the public. In this sense, the final season of Sex and the City really show us the gem of the city. It may be the only place in the world nowadays could accomodate so many arty superstars, and make them live, work, and continue to contribute their talents or werid ideas to this world. Maybe someone could tell me how fascinating Paris, London, or Rio is?
